Furley Page wins East Kent ploughing match award

Furley Page won the 'Best Trade Stand' title at the 73rd East Kent Ploughing Match held at Quex Park in Birchington, having teamed up once again with The Hawking Centre from Doddington Place Gardens.

The Kent law firm was presented the trophy after impressing judges with a marquee which included a laser clay shooting competition won by Gary Keeps in a tense final shoot-off. There was also the opportunity to see birds of prey up close throughout the day.

Victoria Rose, a member of the judging panel, said: "Everyone puts a lot of effort in, but we felt Furley Page went a little bit further with their activities, such as the laser clay shooting range. The crowd they attracted was very diverse and they were successful in engaging with the rural community attending the show."

Thousands of people enjoyed the annual event, many of whom visited the Furley Page stand, where they were hosted by staff including Partners and Associates.

Ethan Desai, from Furley Page's Agriculture and Rural Business Team, said: "Once again, we were delighted to host so many of our clients and professional contacts. It was particularly pleasing to see how many people continue to support the event and enjoy our award winning stand. We're grateful to judges for recognising Deborah Geering's hard work in organising the Furley Page stand."

Furley Page's expertise in Agriculture and Rural Business is recommended by The Legal 500 while its specialist team is also regarded as a recognised practioner by Chambers UK, which are both independent guides to the legal profession. Ethan Desai is also personally recommended by Chambers UK.
