Rix & Kay's growth plans continue with raft of new appointments and promotions

Rix & Kay Solicitors has set out its intentions to strengthen the services it delivers to clients, from its main centres in Kent and Sussex, with no fewer than twelve new lawyer appointments and three senior promotions during the last six months.

The firm has announced the appointment of Employment Partner, Victoria Regan, who will be based in the firm's Brighton & Hove office. Victoria joins from Dawson Hart in Uckfield and with over 13 years' experience, her work has resulted in landmark employment law cases and she has provided commentary for BBC South East on topical issues.

Rix & Lay has also announced three senior promotions within the business. Kathryn Paisley has been made Partner in Rix & Kay's rapidly growing Corporate practice, whilst both Oliver Bussell (Commercial Property and Planning) and Rich Risino (Private Client) have also been made Partners. Both Oliver and Rich are based in the firm's growing Sevenoaks office that services clients in Kent. Rich Risino was also recently named as a Notable Practitioner in the latest edition of Chambers and Partners for Private Wealth Law.

The news follows the high profile appointment of Tim Sadka as Corporate Partner that was announced by the firm on 1 September.

Richard Cripps, Managing Partner, commented,

“Our latest promotions are testament to Rix & Kay’s commitment to recognising and nurturing outstanding talent. All three were part of the firm’s 2017 Leadership Development Programme and have proven themselves as great contributors to Rix & Kay’s success. Our approach has also helped us attract exceptional talent from other firms and we are extremely excited by our recent appointments.”

Over the summer the firm has been very active in the recruitment market. Dan Sherlock has joined as an Associate into the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team in Sevenoaks. Dan joins from Griffin Law in Kent and has specialist expertise in data and cyber security; regulatory investigations; high court injunctions; shareholder disputes; and reputation protection.

The firm’s wider Dispute Resolution Team now boasts five specialist lawyers following the arrival of Alistair Rustemeyer, Michael Mulcare and Daniel Dickson earlier in the Summer. Alistair joins as an Associate from McMillan Williams. Michael joins as an Associate from Mayo Wynne Baxter, whilst Daniel Dickson joins as a Solicitor from Howlett Clarke. All three are based in the firm’s Brighton & Hove office.

In addition to strengthening its Dispute Resolution practice, Rix & Kay has appointed Stefan Banks, who has joined as a Solicitor into the firm’s Commercial Property Team in its Mid-Sussex centre based in Uckfield; and Anthony White as Solicitor into the firm’s Residential Property Team in Sevenoaks.  Stefan joins from Eastbourne based firm Stephen Rimmer,  whilst Anthony joins from Holden & Co.

These latest additions bring the total of number new recruits made by Rix & Kay in 2017 to twelve with other new solicitor and paralegal appointments across all its main offices including Ellie Taylor who has joined the firm’s Private Client Team as a Solicitor based in Brighton & Hove. Ellie also joined from Howlett Clarke and specialises in wills and estate planning.
