DSH has teamed up with Furley Page Solicitors to present an exclusive Inheritance Tax breakfast workshop.

Key statistics:

In 2013 more estates in the South East paid IHT than in any other region of England according to HMRC data

London and the South East accounted for as much IHT revenue as the rest of the UK put together

Predictions are that the number of estates affected by IHT annually will rise from an estimated 21,000 in 2012/13 to 42,000 in 2016/17 as a result of the housing market recovery pushing up property prices

IHT nil rate band frozen until 2017/18

This workshop will cover:

Practical tips on how to reduce your IHT bill

Explanation of the transferable IHT nil rate band

Making sure correct agreements are in place to ensure 100% IHT reliefs available

Effects of divorce and remarriage

Making sure a surviving spouse has sufficient capital and income

IHT issues surrounding Furnished Holiday Lets
