Top 20 UK accountancy firm, Wilkins Kennedy’s Southend office, is pleased to announce the continued sponsorship of Essex County Cricket Club for the 2nd year in a row.

Wilkins Kennedy has a firm-wide belief in supporting local initiatives and other local businesses and already work with many organisations to help provide financial or service support. Essex County Cricket Club have also started work on an exciting new build, which looks to improve the site and update a few of the facilities.

This work has been delayed for several years due to the economic and financial climate, but now the first phase of the work is underway thanks to support from several local businesses and Chelmsford County Council.

Plus, with sell-out crowds throughout the previous summer, Essex County Cricket Club and Wilkins Kennedy Southend proved to be a great partnership opportunity.

Darrell Fox, Business Development Manager at Essex County Cricket Club, said: “We are delighted that Wilkins Kennedy are continuing their sponsorship of the Club. The Club has always had an important link with Southend, and the chance to work with a local business is ideal for us. We look forward to continuing to our association with this great company.”

Paul East, Partner at Wilkins Kennedy Southend, said: “Essex County Cricket Club has started work on an extensive ground development programme and as a firm we are pleased to be able to offer part of the support that they needed.

“Cricket is a quintessentially English sport and a highlight for many resident’s and business’ summer calendars here in the Southend community. We are delighted to be continuing our support of the cricket club for another year and look forward to seeing the new and improved site.”
