Sponsor Furley Page Foundation urges people to ‘keep on giving’ to support Pilgrims Hospices

The Pilgrims Hospices’ Light Up the City fundraiser, sponsored once again by the Furley Page Foundation, attracted a record-breaking turn-out on Saturday October 22.

Members of Furley Page Solicitors, which set up the Foundation to manage the law firm’s social responsibility programmes, were among more than 1,000 people who joineda night-time 3k walk and 5k run around Canterbury city. The event is set to beat last year’s fundraising total of £20,500.

Foundation Trustee Aaron Spencer, a Partner at the Canterbury-based law firm who took part in the 5km run, said: “It was a great atmosphere, with families, friends and businesses coming together to raise money and awareness of the wonderful work the Pilgrims Hospices does to support those with life-limiting illnesses.

“Even if you did not take part in Light Up the City, there’s still time to make a donation. Just text LUTC£ and the amount you’d like to give (e.g. LUTC£3) to 70070.”
