Two Furley Page lawyers have been shortlisted in the prestigious Kent Law Society awards for 2017.

Nicola August, Partner and Head of the Vulnerable Client team and Melanie Christodoulou, Private Trusts and Estates Solicitor, were both nominated for their exceptional work.

Nicola says it is an honour to be shortlisted for the Kent Law Society Outstanding Achievement Award.

“I was very pleased to be nominated, which came about in part because of my work as the only Panel Deputy in East Kent and Medway. The nomination recognises the initiatives that enable me and my team to reach out to help those in the community who feel that they do not have a voice.”

Melanie has been shortlisted for the Junior Lawyer of the Year Award, a category that was won in 2014 by Furley Page’s Alexandra Gordon and in which the firm’s Naomi Hayward was also shortlisted in 2015.

“I’m so proud that my legal community work with local universities, where I mentor eight students, has been recognised in this way. The nomination also recognises my cross-border development work within the Furley Page team.”

The results will be announced at the Kent Law Society’s Annual Dinner on 12 May.
