Paul Howson achieves Later Life Adviser Accreditation

Paul Howson APFS from Reeves, one of the South East’s leading accountancy and financial advisory firms, has achieved the prestigious Later Life Adviser Accreditation and is now a member of the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA). This comes shortly after Paul was awarded 5 stars in a Financial Adviser survey.

The Later Life Adviser Accreditation is a recognised benchmark of skills for people who advise the older client market on their financial affairs. It helps older consumers and their families identify authorised, competent and trusted advisers.

To qualify for the accreditation you must hold a financial planning qualification, be signed off as competent, hold an equity release qualification and a long term care qualification.

Paul specialises in later life advice and achieved this status after undertaking a rigorous accreditation process covering 7 stages including; Self Assessment, Desk Top Review, External Audit, a Work Based Assessment, a report and being approved by the Accreditation Panel.

Paul comments on receiving this accreditation; “I am extremely delighted and proud to have achieved SOLLA membership. Later life advice is a particularly rewarding area to work in and one in which there is a real need for quality advice delivered in an understanding way. It is important that the older client market and their families find an adviser they can trust when dealing with the often emotive and complex financial decisions that they face. The Society of Later Life Advisers gives clients, local authorities and other professionals and agencies that vital reassurance”.
