Reeves shortlisted for two awards at the British Accountancy Awards

Reeves, one of the major accountancy and financial services firms practicing in the South East of England, is proud to announce that they have been named finalists in the ‘Mid Tier Firm’ category and the ‘Tax Award of the Year – Non Global Firm’ category. The awards will be taking place on the 21st November at Old Billingsgate in Central London.

This is not the first time that Reeves have been recognised at the awards. In 2011 Reeves won the title of ‘Best Employer’ in a category backed by Accountancy Age and the Best Companies Group. Reeves also won the prestigious national award for “Best Large Firm of the Year” at the Accountancy Age Awards in 2009.

The main criterion for the Mid Tier Firm category was for the firm to show how the services it has provided have been fundamental in enabling their clients to achieve their business goals.

In order to be shortlisted for the tax award we were required to demonstrate that our corporate tax team are able to combine innovative thinking with intellectual power, for the purpose of delivering a substantial positive impact to the businesses of our clients.

Margaret Connolly, Partner and Head of Taxation at Reeves commented; “I am completely thrilled that our corporate tax team, which continues to grow, has received this independent recognition of its excellence. We are indeed proud that our international tax work, in particular, establishes our winning combination. We now have the capacity, capability and reach of a Global Firm, married to the more modest costs associated with the Non Global alternative.”

Clive Stevens, Managing Partner at Reeves commented; “I am delighted the Reeves have been recognised in both of these categories. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Reeves as they are fundamental to the firms’ success. Our success is also due to our loyal clients and the strong relationship we have with them.”
